REMODELERS COUNCIL
The Council serves members that specialize in, or are associated with, the remodeling aspects of residential construction. The Council members share the common goals of providing quality, service, and value to their customers, increasing professionalism and developing leaders, and improving the performance of its members. Members of the committee represent the remodeling industry and receive the benefit of consumer marketing programs, essential education, professional designations, and the experience of their professional peers.
Multifamily Council
The Multifamily Council represents builders, developers, owners, and managers of all sizes and types of multifamily housing, advocating for their interests and fostering connections within the industry. Whether members have four rentals or four thousand, they benefit from shared knowledge, best practices, and insights into industry trends.
The Multifamily Council is affiliated with the NAHB Multifamily Council, the NAHB Council offers additional resources to its members. This includes a bi-weekly update on legislative, regulatory, and economic news related to the multifamily market sector. The update is free for Multifamily Council members and available by subscription to others.
Parade of Homes Committee
The Parade of Homes is a scattered site tour of new and remodeled homes throughout Central and Eastern Connecticut. The Parade is Connecticut’s premier home tour that showcases homes of all styles and price points. The Parade of Homes Committee helps create the showcase event of the year which highlights the exceptional craftmanship of HBRA Members.
MEMBERSHIP
Members focus on crafting and implementing the strategic plan for new member enrollment and retention. Work to determine what events and member benefits are working and those that need to be improved upon to better meets the needs of members. Committee members help identify potential new members and develop Association wide tools to increase retention.
SAFETY
The Committee fosters the strategic alliance with OSHA and develops safety training and education courses for members, their management and employees. The Safety Committee received a nationwide award from NAHB in 2007 for the best local association’s safety program in the United States. HOME SHOW
Help produce Connecticut’s largest and longest running Home and Remodeling Show. Started in 1947 this is Connecticut’s most respected Home Show drawing more than fifteen thousand visitors to see more than 650 booths. The Committee and sub-committees work with the staff to produce this amazing event each year. Subcommittees include the Feature Committee, Marketing, Sales & Sponsorships and Logistics.
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Develops and manages the communications strategy for the HBRA. This includes developing a brand for the HBRA and identifying unique strategic marketing opportunities for the Association. The Committee also works closely with the HBRA Charitable Foundation to leverage the philanthropic and charitable initiatives of the HBRA.
CONNECTICUT GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
HBRA of CT’s advocacy and issue policy efforts are governed by the association’s Government Affairs Committee, a diverse group of HBRA members from across the state. All HBRA members are invited to participate on the Committee. You DO NOT need to know anything about the capitol or how lobbying works; what we need is your experience and expertise on industry issues.
CONNECTICUT DEVELOPERS COUNCIL
The CT Developers Council identifies the special problems and serves the special needs of residential, commercial and industrial real estate developers and it is the voice of the real estate development industry in Connecticut. The Council is made up of land developers, builders, attorneys, engineers, bankers, real estate agents and brokers, architects, landscape architects, surveyors, planners and allied trade associations — all working together to achieve common goals.
